Did You Know?

Organized in 1960, the Gilbert Historical Museum moved to the old elementary which was deemed a historical building in 1980. The museum is only open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults, $1.50 for children ages 5 to 12, and kids under age five are free.

Dog shows, family reunions, small arts and crafts fairs, all seem to find the Tempe Women's Club Park the ideal place to set up during the spring and summer months. A smaller shade park in north Tempe, the park always seems to be busy with one thing or another, and is usually open to the public.
